Wife and I had been together for 10 years when this song came out. We were attending a very dressy family anniversary party for which she had chosen a stunning red outfit for the occasion. She was the organizer and left before I got home. When I walked in and saw her I thought my heart was going to stop, she was gorgeous. Family members were coming up to me all night and telling me how beautiful she was. We danced to this song and all I could think about was that I am the happiest guy in the world. Still together with the love of my life and tears come to my eyes when I hear this song. The words are on a plaque on our bedroom wall.

Every woman wants to be loved like this…. To know she is the most beautiful woman in the world to someone.

I will always remember this beautiful song I was riding my bike listening to it on my Walkman riding across a bridge in Wales when the bridge collapsed and my bike fell away from me to the water below luckily I got the seat of my pants caught on some sort of metal bracket and I was dangling for over one hour before help arrived! This song still playing in my ears, I will never forget it.

My mom loves this song and so did some of her close friends (a lovely couple) the husband used to sing it beautifully. I grew up listening to it and watching them dance to it. Today was her friends funeral (the wife). They dressed her in red as now she can meet her husband in heaven... his lady in red. Rest in peace Emma and Mike❤️

Can't listen without shedding a slight tear because my Dad loved this song as because it reminded him of my mother. Unfortunately they broke up when I was 2 and my mom went onto marry an amazing man who became my step dad and now an even greater poppy to my daughters. I lost my Dad suddenly in 2002 from sudden cardiac arrest when he was just 46 and I was 18. He passed just 3 months before my 1st of 3 daughters was born. Now I have 3 gorgeous and healthy girls and I surely taught them about him and danced to this song with them all in his honor. It means the world to me.

Omygawsh I absolutely love this song. My mother listened to this song a lot when I was a young girl. She would dance and glide on the floor in the middle of the living room. My dad sang this to my mom... wonderful childhood memories learning the meaning of love by watching my dad and how much he cared for my mom...sadly I lost him 10 years ago to cancer. Thank you, Dad, for all you taught me about life. I love you and miss you more than you'll ever know.

Sang this to my wife as we danced to it,she was dressed in red.23 years and 2 beautiful kids later,we still together,she made a man of me.She is my soul mate.

It was the night of my wedding, I had just danced with my wife, and I went up to dance with my mom and this song came on. I had just bought my mom a red dress to wear for the wedding.....so I got to dance with my mom, I will always remember this dance. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and sadly she passed away 2 weeks after the wedding....but someone had taken a picture of us dancing and I got the picture blown up and it is a treasured memory of that night. For me it wasn't a romantic memory of that song but more of a life shattering moment  that brings a bitter sweet memory

Reminds me of dancing with my wife at the pier in NYC before I lost her. We were so young and thought we would have the rest of our lives together. I can still remember how beautiful she looked in her red dress as we danced to this. Life is so fragile.
