That cello intro will always be iconic and will always bring back memories as we grow up.

This is not just a song, this is core memory.

First time I heard this song in the movie "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". And that's how I got introduced to OneRepublic. Since then they're one of my favorite bands.

If we’re being honest, he was a huge part in our childhood.

A Message to Future Generations, Don't let this song die. It's MARCH 2025!!! Let’s see how many legends are listening to this masterpiece <3

"The sorcerer's apprentice" What a movie it was

To think that we were completely different people the first time we heard this song...

11 years later, if you're watching this, you're a legend.

Lyrics <3
I need another story
Something to get off my chest
My life gets kinda boring
Need something that I can confess

Till all my sleeves are stained red
From all the truth that I've said
Come by, it honestly I swear
Thought you saw me wink, no, I've been on the brink, so

Tell me what you want to hear
Something that'll light those ears
Sick of all the insincere
I'm gonna give all my secrets away
This time
Don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics ever jumped in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away

My God, amazing how we got this far
It's like we were chasing all those stars
Whose driver shining big black cars

And everyday I see the news
All the problems that we could solve
And when a situation rises
Just write it into an album
Sitting straight, too low
And I don't really like my flow, no, so

Tell me what you want to hear
Something that'll light those ears
Sick of all the insincere
I'm gonna give all my secrets away
This time
Don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics never jump in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away

Got no reason
Got no shame
Got no family
I can blame
Just don't let me disappear
I'mma tell you everything

Tell me what you want to hear
Something that'll light those ears
Sick of all the insincere
I'm gonna give all my secrets away
This time
Don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics never jump in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away

Tell me what you want to hear
Something that'll light those ears
Sick of all the insincere
I'm gonna give all my secrets away
This time
Don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics never jump in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away

All my secrets away <3

Stop asking who’s still listening, we never stop listening.

I'll see you in another 10 years, dear me.

It's been 10 years and I still cant get over the fact that this song hits hard af...

Comment section being active even after 10 years tells us how good music was back then.

First time I heard this it was in The Sorcerer's Apprentice.. and I was blown away.

That drum intro hits so hard....love it.

I first heard this song when I was in high school so that was about 11 years ago. My best friend loves this song and I sang this in her funeral because she took her own life last year. I always sing this to her to soothe her panic attacks when she calls me for help or advice.

She took her own life because she was raped.

That's why this song is so special and close to me.

[Verse 1]
I need another story
Something to get off my chest
My life gets kinda boring
Need something that I can confess
'Til all my sleeves are stained red
From all the truth that I've said
Come by it honestly I swear
Thought you saw me wink, no
I've been on the brink, so

[Chorus]
So tell me what you want to hear
Something that will light those ears
I'm sick of all the insincere
So I'm gonna give all my secrets away
This time
Don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics ever jump in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away

[Verse 2]
My God, amazing how we got this far
It's like we're chasing all those stars
Who's driving shiny big black cars
And every day I see the news
All the problems that we could solve
And when a situation rises
Just write it into an album
Send it straight to gold
But I don't really like my flow, no

[Chorus]
So tell me what you want to hear
Something that will light those ears
I'm sick of all the insincere
So I'm gonna give all my secrets away
This time
Don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics ever jump in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away

[Bridge]
Ooh
Got no reason, got no shame
Got no family I can blame
Just don't let me disappear
I'ma tell you everything

[Chorus]
So tell me what you want to hear
Something that'll light those ears
I'm sick of all the insincere
So I'm gonna give all my secrets away
This time
Don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics ever jump in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away
So tell me what you want to hear
Something that'll light those ears
I'm sick of all the insincere
So I'm gonna give all my secrets away
This time
Don't need another perfect lie
Don't care if critics ever jump in line
I'm gonna give all my secrets away
